Day 1: UK - Johannesburg

Fly from the UK to Johannesburg, spending a night on board before you arrive. When you land, you’ll be whisked off to your hotel, spending the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Johannesburg - Mpumalanga

After breakfast you’ll set off towards the world-famous Kruger National Park, home to some of the world’s most incredible wildlife. En route, you’ll visit some sights in Blyde River Canyon, like Bourke's Luck Potholes, God’s Window and the Three Rondavels. Arrive at your lodge in Mpumalanga, just outside the park, in time for dinner. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 3: Kruger

Spend a full day basking in the glory of Kruger National Park. You’ll enjoy a full-day 4x4 game drive, starting early with breakfast on the go. Drive through the Southern Circle, home to rhinos and lions and keep your eye out for all manner of beasts, all day. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 4: Mpumalanga

Today you’ll have time to relax. Spend your day relaxing by the lodge’s pool or organise another excursion for yourself to one of the surrounding sights. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 5: Mpumalanga - Johannesburg - Cape Town

After breakfast, you’ll make the journey back to Johannesburg for your onward flight to Cape Town, stopping on the way for a tour of historic Pretoria. On arrival in Cape Town, transfer to your hotel. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Cape Town

Enjoy a free day in Cape Town today, or opt for a full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula, which will take you to the Boulders Penguin Colony, Seal Island and the Cape Point Nature Reserve (£108 per person). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: Cape Town

With another free day today, continue to explore on your own or opt to delve into the world of the Cape Winelands, which includes a cellar tour and cheese tasting in Stellenbosch (£80 per person). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 8: Cape Town

Enjoy another day at leisure, or opt for a half-day tour of the city, exploring brightly coloured Bo Kaap, the Castle of Good Hope and Signal Hill, among other sights (£51 per person). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 9: Cape Town - Victoria Falls


After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls, aptly called the ‘Smoke that Thunders’ in native Lozi. Settle in on arrival, or head straight out on an optional sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, an unforgettable way to spend your first night in Zimbabwe (£53 per person). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 10: Victoria Falls

Today you’ll visit the Zimbabwean side of the majestic Victoria Falls, admiring it from various vantage points. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 11: Victoria Falls


Spend the day at leisure continuing to gaze in awe at the falls, or opt for an excursion to Chobe National Park in Botswana, known for its elephants and lions (£186 per person). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 12: Victoria Falls - UK

Transfer back to the airport this morning for your flight back home, spending a night on board before you arrive back in the UK. (Meals: breakfast)

Please note that your inbound and outbound flights are overnight, so be sure to take this into account when planning the time you'll be away.

Please note that if you opt to take the Chobe National Park excursion on Day 11, you will need to obtain a double-entry visa on arrival to Zimbabwe, and take this, along with your passport, with you on the day, as you will be entering Botswana.
