Futuristic-meets-historical escape to South Korea’s tech-filled cities and cultural sites, from Seoul to Busan - includes all travel, excursions and an authentic guesthouse stay

Day 1: UK - Seoul

Plug in the K-Pop and get ready for your journey to South Korea. You’ll set off from your UK departure airport, spending a night on board before you land in South Korea’s tech-savvy capital.

Day 2: Seoul

Land in this action-packed city and transfer to your hotel. Settle in or set out right away to start drinking in the vibrant atmosphere.

Day 3: Seoul

From futuristic skyscrapers to ancient palaces and cultural experiences, today’s city tour will introduce you to the synthesis of elements that make up Seoul. Start off at the tallest tower in Asia, stop off at the Unhyeongung Palace to learn about Korean history, learn how to make the national dish, kimchi, and delve into K-Pop at the SM Artium, before visiting the Starfield Library and futuristic Myeongdong Station.

Day 4: Seoul - Gyeongju

Today you’ll leave the city behind and venture into the countryside. Your first stop of the day is Andong, a historic village perched on the edge of the Nakdong River. You’ll feel like time has stopped here, especially in contrast to cutting-edge Seoul. Continue to Gyeongju, a coastal city known as a ‘museum without walls’, thanks to its historic Korean style, temples and tranquil atmosphere.

Day 5: Gyeongju - Busan

Spend the morning exploring the Bulguksa Temple on the slopes of Mount Toham, a treasure or Korean Buddhism. Today will be filled with spiritualism, as you’ll find at the Seokguram Grotto and the Daereyngwon Tomb, which belongs to an unknown ancient king. Continue on to Busan, a fascinating port city.

Day 6: Busan

Immerse yourself in Busan, starting at the coastal temple of Haedong Yonggungsa where incredible architecture combines with views of the sea. Next, you’ll stop off at the colourful enclaves of Gamcheon Culture Village, where local markets call to be explored before you spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7: Busan - Tongyeong - Suncheon - Damyang - Jeonju

Continue down the coast today, starting your day off with a cable car ride over Mount Mireuksan for panoramic views of the offshore islands. You’ll then visit the Dongpirang Mural Village, full of colourful street art and quaint cafes, and Naganeupseong Folk Village for a glimpse into traditional Korean culture. In the afternoon, explore the Juknokwon Bamboo Garden and fairytale-like Metasequoia-lined Road, then head to the culinary capital of Jeonju for the night - you’ll be staying overnight in a traditional guesthouse, an authentic experience.

Day 8: Jeonju - Seoul

After exploring so much of what South Korea has to offer, you’ll be journeying back to Seoul. Spend your last night here at leisure - why not do as the Koreans do and engage in a spot of karaoke.

Day 9: Seoul - Night on board

It’s time to wave Annyeonghaseyo to South Korea. Transfer back to the airport for your flight to the UK, spending the night on board before you arrive.
