An epic Argentina adventure taking in enigmatic cities, majestic glaciers, UNESCO's Iguazú Falls and more, including breakfast, all travel and excursions
Who said you had to choose between nature and culture? This Argentinian adventure encompasses a generous helping of both, from city-slicking in Buenos Aires to glorious glaciers in El Calafate, and witnessing the UNESCO-protected Iguazú Falls.
It all starts amidst the charisma of Buenos Aires – the birthplace of the passionate Tango – where an included city tour will see you visiting colourful La Boca, La Recoleta and the vibrant Puerto Madero.
Iguazú is up next, where you’ll visit the Argentinian side of Iguazú Falls, following 800 metres of suspended walkways to watch the water thundering down the heartstopping 80-metre drop from an incredible vantage point. You can opt to go wild for the Grand Iguazu Adventure, which will see you enter the jungle, sail upon rapids, and observe the Devil’s Throat. The following day, you’ll venture to the Brazilian border for an alternative – but equally as awesome – experience of the Falls.
Next, you’ll fly down to El Calafate, home to the huge Perito Moreno glacier, which you’ll get to admire in all its glory on an included tour to the Glacier National Park during your stay. Continuing on, you’ll make your way to Ushuaia, known as ‘the gateway to Antartica’, where you’ll venture to the country’s most southern tip, and take a trip to Beagle Channel, home to a colony of sea lions.
Before returning to Buenos Aires for a final two nights, you’ll spend some time in Puerto Madryn, where you’ll get to witness a plethora of marine animals in their natural habitat, relax on the beach and explore the area’s beautiful land-based flora and fauna.
