- With a Michelin-listed restaurant, spectacular views over the Italian countryside and an unbeatable location close to Lake Maggiore, the 17th-century Albergo Colonne doesn't do things by halves. Epitomising la dolce vita under one roof, this TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence-awarded hideaway makes quite the gourmet getaway.
- Views aside, the pièce de résistance here is the double Michelin-forked restaurant, where chef Silvio Battistoni serves up lip-smacking cuisine – perfected by a fine wine list.
