16-night holiday with a luxury full-board cruise from Barcelona to Dubai and a stay at a 5* hotel in Dubai - all travel included

This 16-night Royal Caribbean escape is for those who really want to travel. Setting off in artsy Barcelona, the 14-night sailing itinerary includes dockings at four wildly different destinations; crossing the Mediterranean, down through the narrow Suez Canal into the Red Sea, then finally dropping the anchor (figuratively speaking) in sultry Arabia for a luxurious extended stay on land.

On arrival in Barcelona, you'll have the day to explore this vibrant, avant-garde city before boarding the illustrious, 965-foot Serenade of the Seas. Featuring a rock-climbing wall, three immaculate swimming pools and Jacuzzis, a state-of-the-art gym, fine dining and an elegant day spa; this lavish liner features all the five-star mega-resort facilities that are the signature of Royal Caribbean.

The morning after your embarkation, you'll sail for three nights to the demure Egyptian city of Alexandria - once the centre of the ancient world. Visit historic monuments, mosques and museums; discovering handsome squares, vibrant souks and charming belle epoque buildings.

After two nights, it's southwards, wriggling through Suez into the tropical waters of the Red Sea, docking at Safaga on Egypt's eastern coast. A divers' town; Safaga is a prime destination for scuba and snorkelling, positioned close to diverse reefs and historic wrecks. Swim with shock-yellow shoals and graceful rays, then depart for a long sail to Muscat at the furthermost tip of Oman.

Explore the city's fine port and authentic arabesque streets, browsing curios, jasmine and frankincense in the local markets. Next day, you'll disembark at iconic Dubai, where you'll be transferred to the chic five-star Meydan Hotel for a two-night stay (making the total length of your holiday 16 nights), with access to a rooftop infinity pool and views over the renowned Meydan Racecourse (home of The Dubai World Cup - the world's richest race day).

Flights are included from your selected departure airport to Barcelona (with inbound flights from Dubai), as well as coach transfers. Full-board included on the ship, as well as $75 credit to spend on-board. Our offers include a choice of three cabins, and accommodation at The Meydan hotel in Dubai is in a Deluxe Balcony room, with breakfast included. The cruise sails on the 14 January, 2013 - perfect for a bit of post-Christmas down-time.
