An unforgettable trip to Italy's iconic Rome and Venice, with a scenic Mediterranean cruise through Greece and Croatia – includes all travel

You'll start your Italian adventure with three nights in iconic Rome, staying at an elegant and traditional hotel that’s set in a 19th-century building in the city centre. During your sojourn here, take the time to explore and visit the city's most iconic sights, such as the Trevi Fountain, the Fountain of the Naiads at Piazza della Repubblica, the Column of Marcus Aurelius, the Palazzo Montecitorio, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, St Peter's Basilica, and the Pietà - Michelangelo's stunning sculpture.

You'll travel by train to Venice next, where you’ll find the Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal impresses from its Carlton Sky Lounge downwards. Take in the city’s medieval palaces and Grand Canal views from the fourth floor or enjoy authentic Venetian flavours and 1700s-inspired decor at La Cupola Restaurant. In the rooms, Murano glass lamps and traditional plasterwork mix with modern luxuries. From Venice, you’ll board the MSC Lirica cruise ship for a full-board cruise around the glittering Mediterranean waters.

After sailing to the historic Italian gem of Bari, you’ll spend some time at sea, cruising towards the breathtaking Greek Islands. Soak up iconic, majestic caldera vistas in stunning Santorini, explore the atmospheric city of Chania with its Venetian quarter, and visit the unspoiled gem of Kefalonia and town of Argostoli. Then its on to the Adriatic seafront treasure, Split, where history meets cosmopolitan flair. You’ll be well catered for aboard the MSC Lirica too, which boasts a plethora of top-class facilities and services, from a selection of bars and eateries to a casino, disco and theatre, plus an indulgent spa – something to suit everyone.
