How to get there

Wotton House is easy to get to, being only 10 minutes from Junction 9 of the M25 and around half an hour from Gatwick Airport. The nearest train station is at Dorking, around four miles away. A train journey from central London will take you roughly 90 minutes from London Waterloo, plus a bus journey or taxi ride from Dorking station.

You'll be perfectly placed to visit many of Surrey's attractions, including Epsom racecourse, the famous gardens at RHS Wisley and the dramatic heights of Box Hill with its great views (and challenging inclines for cycling, if that's your thing). 

Painshill Park, Cobham's sprawling landscaped garden, is home to Gothic architecture and a manmade crystal grotto, and the South Downs National Park is close by for a hike or two as well. You could also release your inner child at Thorpe Park or Chessington World of Adventures, or take a drive down to Brighton or Portsmouth, both just over an hour away.
