Luxury yurt glamping among beautiful countryside straight from the pages of a Brontë sister classic

Forget leaky tents, deflating blow-up mattresses and flocks of shrieking kids, and soak up the great outdoors in style and luxury at the adults-only Parson Lee Farm Glamping. Set in a 64-acre farmstead in a beautiful pocket of rural Lancashire, the glamping site borders the famous Brontë and Pendle Way bridle paths, which thread through the grounds and into the lush countryside unfurling beyond.

A stay here is like throwing yourself into the pages of a Brontë sister classic; strike out on long walks or bike rides along winding trails, scattering wild grouse in your wake and passing babbling brooks, a kaleidoscope of flora and fauna and crumbling ruins – Wycoller Hall is said to be the inspiration behind Ferndean Manor in Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre. Just over a kilometre away, the historic village of Wycoller is worth a visit for its Instagram-worthy ancient bridges and an insight into its cotton industries of days gone by.

And if the idea of bedding down on a sleeping mat  at the end of the day brings you out in a cold sweat, panic not, luxury yurts are decked out with a comfy double bed, as well as a log-burning stove and a lantern-lit decking area with rattan furniture and a barbecue for al fresco treats.

Good to know

Parking and safe bike storage is available for guests. Please be aware that due to the tranquil, secluded location of Parson Lee Farm, the last mile leading up to the farm is on an unmade track which may not be suitable for low or modified vehicles.

Please note that Luxury yurts are not pet-friendly.
