A glamorous Northern Italy stay, at a boutique-style palazzo in the town of Fossano - with breakfast plus suite and dinner options

It’s all unexpectedly glam at this intimate palazzo in Fassano - the pretty little town in the Cuneo Province that lies southwest of Italy’s Piedmont region. Housed in a restored 17th-century convent that was later a private residence for nobility, there’s no shortage of period interiors; think frescoed walls, original coffered ceilings, and plenty of bare bricks and wooden beams.

All of the 24 guest rooms and suites are grandiose without being stuffy. Expect lashings of boudoir-chic decor by way of plush carpeted flooring, crystal chandeliers, gilded lanterns, silk taffeta drapes, lavish velvets, comfortable four-poster canopied beds, and gleaming Italian walnut flooring. Equally worthy of your attention are the beautiful marble-clad bathrooms - all of which feature a walk-in shower or bathtub and sumptuous Laura Tonatto toiletries.

Elsewhere, there’s a peaceful basement spa kitted out with a sauna, whirlpool tub, steam room and treatment room for massages, a laid-back lounge bar for all-day drinks and light meals, and a wine vault for a fair few thousand bottles of French and Italian wines. You’ll also find an excellent restaurant in the palazzo’s ancient cellar for next-level gourmet Italian cuisine. Palazzo Righini boasts a TripAdvisor Traveller's Choice Award.

Good to know

Guests are also entitled to a late checkout of 1pm (depending on availability) as well as one-hour’s exclusive use of the spa and relaxation area (advance booking is required). Please note that small pets are welcome at Palazzo Righini but a charge of €15 applies.
