A suite stay at an independently owned boutique hotel set in a Georgian townhouse - includes breakfast, prosecco and optional spa perks
No.15 Great Pulteney is steeped in history, once home to an eclectic array of characters, from money-laundering admirals to commissioners of police. It commands a grand presence on one of Bath’s loveliest streets and received great fanfare when it opened in 2016. Owners Ian and Christa Taylor had already made their mark operating two other top local hotels, giving this latest gem an impressive pedigree.
Inside you’ll find a diverse collection of curios, from antique apothecary bottles to a ‘lost earring chandelier’ to accompany the glorious views over Bath’s parks and stately rooftops. Sticking close to the history of the building, interiors include chalky pastels and carefully sourced contemporary art. Everything from the pillow-soft beds to the chemist’s shop units in the cafe have been chosen to add something to the overall feel of No.15 – kick back with a cocktail or afternoon tea (with a twist, of course) and get to know the history of the hotel.
In a prime location, No.15 is a short stroll from a number of Bath’s landmarks. You’ll want to get out and discover the imposing Bath Abbey and steaming Roman Baths, alongside the city’s excellent shopping thoroughfare. Dinner can be found at Cafe 15 from Tuesday to Saturday, or at a number of restaurants in the surrounding streets, while the hotel’s substantial full English breakfast will more than set you up for a day of exploring. It's no surprise the hotel holds a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
Curiously creative cocktails, such the Lobster Fashion – made from bisque, vodka, tonic and a raw prawn
