An unforgettable journey through Nepal with city, jungle and mountain stays - including all travel, breakfast, safari and excursions
Discover the spiritual core of one of the world’s most charismatic countries, Nepal. Encompassing three mesmerising destinations, you'll travel between a vibrant city stay in the heart of Kathmandu, a wildlife-spotting experience in the depths of Chitwan National Park and watch the sun rise above the world's highest peaks in the magnificent Himalayas.
From your base at Ghangri Boutique Hotel in Nepal's buzzing capital Kathmandu, you'll have some free time to explore the city upon arrival. You'll take a tour of temple-filled Bhaktapur, discovering The Royal Palace and its impressive entrance door embossed with beautiful art. You'll also explore the oldest temple in the Kathmandu Valley - the Changu Narayan temple - located on a hilltop and surrounded by forest, and visit ancient destinations dotted through the Kathmandu Valley over the next few days, including the old city of Patan and the hilltop Swayambhunath Stupa.
Heading onwards to Chitwan National Park, take an excursion through one of the richest parks in Asia, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Discover prehistoric trees, twisting vines and a host of local wildlife including rhinos, elephants, crocodiles and pythons.
Next up, you'll take in beautiful Himalayan views at your accommodation in Pokhara, situated just a five-minute walk from Phewa Lake - the largest lake in Pokhara. You'll get the chance to take a boat ride across the lake and see the beautiful Devi Waterfall and the Sacred Cave of Gupteshwor before heading back to Kathmandu for two nights, squeezing in visits to Boudhanath - one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal - and Pashupatinath Temple.
You'll spend your last two nights in Nagarkot, a village nestled in the mountains that's famous for its stunning views over the Himalayas. While here, you'll take guided walks in the hills surrounding Nagarkot, taking in the terraced farmland and garnering an insight into the lifestyles of the local people. After two nights soaking up these stunning surrounds, you'll board an overnight flight back to the UK.
