The highlights of southern Italy will be at your fingertips on this self-drive tour - with breakfast, flights, car hire, stays at two hotels and thoughtful spa perks

Naples

Start your stunning self-drive journey in historic Naples, exploring the cultural and historic attractions of one of the oldest cities not just in Italy, but in the world. Fancy a stroll along the waterfront? Naples’ famous port is just a few minutes’ walk away, and a half-hour walk will take you to some of the city’s most famous sights. Take in Roman mosaics, 13th-century architecture and modern local artwork at Castel Nuovo, catch some opera at the stunning Teatro di San Carlo, and explore a network of remarkable underground tunnels, catacombs and ancient aqueducts at Napoli Sotteranea.

Amalfi Coast

Next, you’ll hop in the car and make the 80-minute drive down to Villa Rizzo Resort & Spa near Salerno in Campania, a seaside town about an hour southeast of Naples. You’ll be just 30 minutes from the Amalfi Coast, giving you a calm atmosphere with proximity to all the highlights. Be sure to drive down to Sorrento for incredible views and even more incredible food (though this is Italy, and you’ll be discovering foodie gems everywhere), and head across the Sorrentine Peninsula towards Naples to visit dormant giant Vesuvius and the ancient, buried town of Pompeii.
