Day 1: UK – Lima

Arrive at your departure airport and hop aboard a flight to the capital of Peru. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring. (Meals: none)

Day 2: Lima

Take an informative and interesting city tour of Lima today. Start off by exploring the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, before heading to the historic centre to visit the impressive Convent of Santo Domingo. End up enjoying a traditional Pisco Sour before exploring the Larco Museum, home to numerous relics of Peru’s past. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3: Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley

Hop aboard a flight to Cusco today, the former Incan capital, and transfer to the Sacred Valley, a famous area packed full of spectacular scenery and intriguing folklore and legends. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Sacred Valley

An exciting day awaits today as you head to the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu, one of the true wonders of the world. Spend some time discovering the ruins and enjoy a tour of the different sections of the site. Then, jump aboard the train back to the Sacred Valley. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5: Sacred Valley – Cusco

Set off towards Cusco this morning and opt to enjoy a range of optional Sacred Valley excursions along the way. Opt to visit the church of Chinchero, the Racchi viewpoint, Ollantaytambo and its Inca fortress, or head to the vast circular terraces if Moray and the Salt Mines of Maras. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Cusco

Enjoy a day at leisure in Cusco and explore the lively plazas of this historic city, including the Plaza de Armas, the San Blas District and the Korikancha (Sun Temple). For something more in-depth, head off on a half-day city tour. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: Cusco – Puno

Today, jump aboard the bus to Puno and enjoy the incredible landscapes of the South Valley along the way. Discover the 17th-century church of Andahuaylas, featuring an impressive organ, as well as the ruins of Racqui. Later on, enjoy the views from La Raya and visit the historic town of Pucara. Then, check-in to your hotel in Puno, situated close to Lake Titicaca. (Meals: breakfast, lunch)

Day 8: Puno

Set off today on an unforgettable excursion to the islands of Lake Titicaca. First stop is Taquile Island, which dates back to pre-Inca times and is famous for its weaving, knitting and textiles. Next up, visit the community of Huayallano (on the same island) where the locals show off their traditional crafts and agriculture. After a traditional lunch, visit the famous floating island of Uros, situated right in the centre of the lake. (Meals: breakfast, lunch)

Day 9: Puno – Lima

Say goodbye to the Andean highlands as you transfer to Juliaca airport for a flight back to Lima. Arrive in Lime and spend your last night in Peru soaking up the ambience of the city's plazas and the cool sea breeze of its picturesque coastline. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 10: Lima – UK

After breakfast, hop aboard your flight back to the UK and settle in for the night.
