A culture-heavy trip to three of Italy's most iconic cities, with optional sightseeing excursions, flights, breakfast throughout and intercity train travel included

Rome

Food, art, history, and life-enriching landscapes – Italy’s got it all. Nowhere is this more evident that in the charismatic capital of Rome. The saying goes that Rome wasn’t built in a day, and with ancient ruins, awe-inspiring museums and picturesque piazzas, there’s no way you’ll be able to do it all on just the one trip here. However, if you choose our offer with excursions, you'll get a good head start. Embark on a classic city tour which takes you to Trevi Fountain, the Fountain of the Naiads at Piazza della Repubblica, the Column of Marcus Aurelius, the Palazzo Montecitorio, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, St Peter's Basilica, the Pietà (Michelangelo's stunning sculpture), and much more.

Florence

Tuscany’s charming capital is the origin of the Renaissance and is home to Michelangelo’s famous statue of David, the gothic Duomo cathedral and more besides. Explore the city at your own pace; don’t miss trying some of the region’s tasty cuisine and wine, as there’s a reason it’s so famous. If you’re a fan of wine, opt to join a glorious regional tour, taking you through the charming hills of the Chianti countryside to Monteriggioni, which boasts some of the best-preserved medieval walls anywhere in Italy. Continue with a visit to a local wine estate, where you'll tour the cellars and taste wine, salami and olive oil.

Venice

Often billed as one of the world’s most beautiful cities, the ‘City of Bridges’ is a big player on the world stage and boasts romantic scenery, plenty of intriguing history and many a canal. If it’s culture you’re after, you’ve come to the right place, as Venice is full of it. Admire the Byzantine art at St Mark’s Basilica, have a wander through St. Mark’s Square, and join the crowds at the iconic Bridge of Sighs. For a real dose of romance, don’t miss a guided gondola ride to explore Venice from the water, passing under small bridges as you make your way through the shimmering reflections of this unique floating city.
