An unforgettable adventure to the ‘Safari Capital of the World’, taking in the celebrated national parks of the Serengeti, Tarangire and the iconic Ngorongoro Crater – includes game drives throughout, full board whilst at national parks, transfers and park fees

Day 1: Arusha

Thick with dense and ancient forests, wild with iconic animals and baked by intense sunshine, Tanzania is about as diverse and beautiful as you can get. You'll start your epic safari odyssey with one night in Arusha, staying at Mount Meru Hotel and acclimatizing to the balmy climate.

Days 2 & 3: Tarangire National Park

Meet your guide this morning and head south-west to Tarangire National Park, a wide stretch of verdant parkland home to elephants, zebras, cheetahs and more. With two nights in a luxury tent at Sanctuary Swala Camp, you'll embark on a series of games drives to spot a throng of different creatures, from wildebeests in the dense brush to leopards creeping through the high grass amongst Baobab trees. As you tour the vast landscape in your 4x4 and snap those insta-worthy images, keep an eye out for the unusual fringe-eared Oryx, a species rarely sighted in other parts of the country.

Days 4, 5 & 6: Serengeti National Park

It's on to your next big adventure to the famous Serengeti National Park: some 30,000 square kilometres of space that’s home to the largest concentration of wildlife on the African continent. Under its wild, cloud-sprinkled skies you’ll discover lions, rhinoceroses, giraffes and cape Buffaloes, with the chance to get respectfully close on multiple game drives that lead you through the shimmering bushveld and into the heart of one of the greatest wildlife shows on Earth. Your stay is made more magical by a stint in Sanctuary Kusini, a set of 12 luxury tents near a rocky outcrop. If you're staying for nine nights, you'll take a rather enjoyable games drive in Lake Manyara National Park, where over 350 species of exotic birds have been spotted on the lake. Perhaps one of your highlights will be an evening safari drive at dusk, where you'll have the chance to hear a cacophony of animal noises against a backdrop of orange and pink hues.

Days 7 & 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Your journey across the rolling savannas continues to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll stay at Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp. The thrills don't have to stop with unforgettable games drives: you can opt to take a tour to a Masai village, where you'll meet locals and indulge in authentic Tanzanian cuisine (at extra cost; please arrange with the camp). You'll explore the Ngorongoro Crater, often considered the world's largest natural wildlife arena. In this magnificent volcanic caldera. the landscapes will shift and change before your eyes, moving from wild forest to murky swamps to sandy dunes, making for one mesmerising wildlife experience. In the middle of the crater, you'll find thousands of pink flamingoes fluttering about in the midday heat, causing ripples in the lake around them.

Day 9: Karatu (for nine-night stay only)

To the south of the Ngorongoro district is the colourful Karatu, and a soothing sanctuary in the form of Gibbs Farm awaits. You'll stay in a cottage for your final night, soaking in the African ambience and gaining a fascinating insight into local ways - why not take a tour of the farm, discovering the rhythm of everyday life? There are plenty of calming activities to choose from, such as taking a bicycle tour around the plantations you're staying nearby, before winding down with a drink or two in the evening, ready for your flight home the next day.

Good to know

Please also note that the itinerary for the nine-night stay differs in order, however you will still visit all three incredible wildlife parks.

When booking your return flight, please ensure that you depart after 4pm so you can be transferred to the airport in time.
