Enjoy the ‘Out of Africa’ experience with a night in Arusha and a dreamy three or four-night stay in the mesmerising Tarangire National Park – with two game drives per day, a visit to a Maasai Chief’s boma, transfers, park fees and more

Arusha

As the so-called ‘Safari Capital of the World’, Arusha is a vibrant and bustling gateway to the country’s stellar national parks. It has excellent restaurants, a lively bar scene and bustling markets; the perfect spot to purchase a trinket or two. It’s also a lush and green spot thanks to its location near the foot of the imposing Mount Meru. While you’re here, you’ll be staying at the polished Mount Meru Hotel, a modern high-rise set within manicured grounds with a shady outdoor pool and a cigar and cognac lounge.

Tarangire National Park

Often labelled as being one of Africa’s most underrated national parks, Tarangire is a showstopper without all the crowds of the neighbouring Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It’s most famous for its baobab trees and its elephant migration, with numbers of up to 3,000 individuals during the peak months of July through to October. Aside from large herds of zebra, wildebeest and buffalo, you also have a good chance of spotting giraffe, baboons, impala, and predators including lion, cheetah, and leopard; the latter particularly at night. During your three or four-night stay here, you’ll be staying at the Lemala Mpingo Ridge Lodge, a luxe and boutique spot with panoramic views over the park.

Good to know

Please note that the bush dinner is weather dependent. If weather conditions are adverse, the bush dinner will be replaced for a massage in the spa.

Can't commit to booking right now?

Hold a date for only £25 while you decide.
