Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is roughly an hour's drive from the hotel. Flights from your chosen airport, plus airport transfers, are included; your driver will welcome you in a private car.

'Discover the Capital and North' tour: Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Mauritius’ vibrant capital – Port Louis. Here you’ll get to tick top-billed sites off your list, including the Citadel, central market, plus alters and monuments to a variety of gods. Before a Mauritian lunch, you’ll also go to a sugar museum, which was once a commodity more sought after than gold. Post-lunch you’ll journey to Mauritius’ National Botanical Garden, formally known as Sir Seewoosagur Botanic Garden, after which you’ll transfer back to your hotel. (£89 per person)

'Discover the South' tour: Your trip to the south-side of the island commences at Trou aux Cerfs, a dormant volcano that’s one of Mauritius’ most famous natural tourist attractions. Work up a thirst around the gargantuan crater, something you’ll be rewarded for after, with a wine tasting at Takamaka Boutique Winery – the only in the world that specialised in lychee wine. On your way to Chamarel you’ll see other sites of natural beauty, like Ganga Talao and the Alexandra Falls. The afternoon holds a trip to the vast sugar cane plantations at Rhumerie de Chamarel Distillery, where you’ll enjoy a rum tasting session. The seven-coloured sand dunes and Chamarel Viewpoint are your final ports of call before returning to the hotel. (£89 per person)
