A multi-award-winning Welsh retreat in the heart of Wye Valley - includes breakfast, afternoon tea and a suite option

Peacefully situated in the beautiful Wye Valley, Llangoed Hall is a truly unique getaway destination. With a batch of awards under its belt and voted No.1 in Wales for The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants 2016 and Country House Hotel of the Year 2014/15, the building itself dates back to 1632, when it was known as Llangoed Castle, and has been restored sympathetically to its historic roots.

Set within 17 acres of landscaped gardens, this luxurious country hall is an elegant and welcoming home from home. The restaurant has impressively won a Condé Nast Johansens award, three AA Rosettes and The AA Notable Wine List award, all in the space of 2014. It was also voted No.1 in Wales for The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants 2016.

Its picture-perfect location makes it an excellent base for exploring. Adopt the country lifestyle for a day and try your hand at falconry, clay pigeon shooting or archery - all available at Llangoed Hall. You're spoiled for choice with ways to explore the Wye Valley and Black Mountains, with cycling, canoeing, 4x4 Land Rover driving and quad biking, to name just a few, available nearby.

For a more leisurely way to delve into the surrounding countryside, Llangoed Hall offers walking and mountain biking itineraries to suit all ages and weather conditions, led by an experienced Mountain Leader. After a day touring the beautiful valley, head back to Llangoed Hall for an aperitif in front of the fire before a locally-sourced dinner in the award-winning restaurant.
