Day 1: Lima

Your exotic journey begins in the capital, where you'll check-in to your hotel before heading out on a walking tour of Barranco, followed by a Pisco Sour tasting and a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Lima

Spend today visiting the city’s iconic sights, from picturesque churches like Lima Cathedral to the colonial architecture of the Plaza de Armas, finishing the day at the Larco Herrera Museum, where you can learn about Peru’s history. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3: Puerto Maldonado & Amazon

Next up is Puerto Maldonado, the gateway to the Amazon. You’ll pack your jungle bags then boat along the Tambopata River to your hotel, getting your first taste of the wildlife in store. (Meals: breakfast, lunch)

Day 4: Amazon

Explore your stunning Amazon surrounds, including the Clay Lick, where parrots and parakeets break their morning fast. Visit a community organisation who produce medicines from the jungle flora. (Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 5: Sacred Valley

Fly over to Cusco, where your guide will meet you on arrival and you’ll drive to the Sacred Valley, stopping in Ccaccaccollo, a small, scenic Andean town, en route. You’ll speak to local women and learn about their lives and histories, then continue to Pisac, where you’ll visit the ancient Citadel ruins. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

Spend your morning in the village of Huilloc, witnessing the culture and customs of the Quechua community. Share lunch with the villagers, then move on to visit Ollantaytambo and its temple of the sun. Afterwards, you’ll take the train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to epic Machu Picchu. (Meals: breakfast, lunch)

Day 7: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Wake up early this morning for the adventure you’ve been waiting for: Machu Picchu. This world-wonder is an experience like no other, and you'll have time to explore before you hop on the train back to Cusco. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 8: Cusco

Today, you’ll be learning about Cusco on a full-day city tour. Visit the Coricancha and Santa Domingo church, Cusco Cathedral and Sacsayhuaman. This evening, opt to attend a folklore show and dinner. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 9: Puno

Start early this morning, taking the train from Cusco to Puno. You have a long (but beautiful) adventure ahead of you, enjoying gourmet food while you make your 10-and-a-half-hour ride. Spend the evening at leisure. (Meals: breakfast, lunch)

Day 10: Uros & Taquile Islands

Set off on a full-day expedition to the island of Uros and Taquile, perched in the middle of Lake Titicaca. You’ll learn about the communities who have lived here, little changed for thousands of years, and admire stunning views of the lake. (Meals: breakfast, lunch)

Day 11: Colca Canyon

Depart early from Puno, driving towards the epic Colca Canyon. Admire the incredible landscapes and lay eyes on amazing wildlife, stopping in Coporaque for lunch. Take a dip in some local hot springs in the afternoon, before settling into your hotel. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 12: Colca Canyon - Arequipa

Set off this morning to Colca’s most famous sight - the Cruz del Condor. Take a walk through the canyon and visit a traditional village, then move on to admire a beautiful church in the village of Yanque. Transfer to Arequipa, then spend the rest of the day at leisure. (Meals: breakfast)

Days 13 & 14: Arequipa - Lima

After breakfast, visit the Santa Catalina Convent and take a walk around the city. You’ll visit the San Camilo Market to buy some ingredients, then head to a local family’s house to learn how to cook Peruvian dishes. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima, where you'll spend one more night before flying home. (Meals: breakfast, lunch)
