Day 1: UK - Bali

Today you'll fly from the UK to Bali, spending the night on board.

Day 2: Ubud, Bali

Landing in Bali, the so-called 'Island of the Gods', you'll be met by your guide at Denpasar airport and transfer to your hotel in Ubud. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, discovering Bali's cultural hub of Ubud.

Day 3: Ubud, Bali

After breakfast, you'll tour Ubud and surrounding villages. See the colourful Barong & Kris dance in the town of stone carvers, Batu Bulan, before visiting Mas, the village of the wood carvers. Head northeast across the coast to the 11th-century Elephant Cave, a UNESCO Site. In Kintamani, enjoy spectacular Mount Batur views of black lava descending to Lake Batur. Finally, visit Celuk, famous for its beautiful goldsmith and silverware work. Stay overnight in Ubud. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Ubud, Bali

Spend the day at leisure in Ubud, perhaps perusing the local markets or indulging in a Balinese massage. Alternatively, opt to go rafting on the Ayung River (£45 per person; lunch included). Stay overnight in Ubud. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5: Ubud, Bali

Enjoy another day at leisure in Ubud, possibly delving into the rainforest or gazing at Hindu temples and shrines. Opt to go on a mountain biking excursion through the mountainside (£45 per person). Stay overnight in Ubud. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Ubud - Gili Trawangan

Today you'll transfer to Padang Bai and board your speedboat to Gili Trawangan. Spend the rest of the day exploring this island's beaches and coral reefs at your own pace. Stay overnight in Gili Trawangan. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: Gili Trawangan


Spend the day at leisure relaxing on Gili Trawangan’s beaches or lazing in the pool. You could also go snorkelling to see the abundance of vivid marine life. Stay overnight in Gili Trawangan. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 8: Gili Trawangan - Lombok

After breakfast, you'll take a local boat to Senggigi, on the island of Lombok. Spend the rest of the day at leisure on this isle that's known for its unrivalled sunsets and traditional customs. Stay overnight in Lombok. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 9: Senggigi, Lombok

Today, take a city tour of Mataram, Lombok’s biggest city. You'll get to see the Mayura Water Palace, built in 1744 as part of the former Balinese empire. Continue to the palace and park of Taman Narmada, home to natural springs and a lovely garden. Lastly, see the unique Temple of Lingsar, a place of harmony and unity for both Muslims and Hindus who are both permitted to worship there. Stay overnight in Lombok. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 10: Lombok - Bali

Today you'll whizz back to Bali via speedboat and travel to your resort on the Nusa Dua Peninsula. You'll get to spend the rest of the day settling into your new destination, among picture-perfect beaches and lush surrounds. Stay overnight in Benoa. (Meals: breakfast)

Days 11-13: Benoa, Bali

The next few carefree days can be spent soaking up your unbelievably gorgeous surroundings, with white sand beach lapped by translucent water. You might want to check out Uluwatu Temple, an iconic monument in Bali that sits atop a cliff surrounded by coastal forest. Other excursions can be organised at the hotel, should you wish to uncover more sights. Stay overnight in Benoa. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 14: Bali - UK

Today you'll reluctantly transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK, spending the night on board. Please note that if your flight departs in the morning, you may arrive back in the UK the same day.

What is a deposit?

In short, you pay Secret Escapes a non-refundable deposit to secure your holiday, then you pay the holiday supplier the remaining balance of the holiday - as advertised - at a later date (before you travel).

We've added deposit-only sales to enable our members to get early-bird access to more amazing holidays, and because we know that planning and paying for a holiday can take time.
