Explore stunning South Africa with city, winelands and beach stays, plus an optional safari lodge - including a wine tasting experience, flights and transfers

Cape Town

Crowned by the flat-topped beauty that is Table Mountain (and smaller sibling Lion’s Head), Cape Town is more than just a pretty face; its creative soul shines through in a rich arts and culture scene, a jam-packed festival calendar and an innovative culinary landscape. Its complex history can be appreciated through the many museums and cultural attractions, including Robben Island, District Six Museum and the Iziko South African Museum and Planetarium.

Stellenbosch

The oak-lined town of Stellenbosch is located in South Africa's famed Winelands, and your hotel here sits on the banks of the Eerste River. What else would you do in the Cape Winelands, other than take a wine tour or enjoy a tasting session at one of the area's famed wine estates? There are plenty of estates to discover nearby, some of which include cheese and charcuterie tastings too. To take in the surrounding natural beauty, head into Jonkershoek Nature Reserve - it's primed for hiking, biking and swimming.

Hermanus

Next, you'll head east, along the serene Garden Route, for a two-night stay at the Harbour House Hotel in Hermanus. This is a great spot for whale watching and shark spotting, which you can indulge in from the hotel's ocean-view pool. Whilst here, take the opportunity to stop at Cape Agulhas - the southernmost tip of the continent of Africa, and the crossroads of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans.

Durban

Durban is South Africa's third most populated city. Head to the ocean-lapped Golden Mile to watch early morning surfers over breakfast at a beachfront cafe, seek out the uShaka Marine World theme park of for some family fun, or head to The Durban Botanical Gardens to gaze over the verdant South African flora.

Zululand

You've every chance of seeing the Big Five from Rhino River Lodge. It's set in the Manyoni Private Game Reserve - a 23,000-hectare private game reserve in Zululand's heart. The reserve was created as part of the WWF Black Rhino Range Expansion Project. The reserve is home to not only the black rhino, but also elephants, buffaloes, leopards and lions, as well as cheetahs and wild dogs. Head out to spot these local residents with two daily game drives.
