Day 1: UK - Christchurch

Arrive in Christchurch. Spend some time at leisure, before dinner with your fellow travellers. (Meals: dinner)

Day 2: Christchurch – Franz Josef


Hop aboard the TranzAlpine for one of the most scenic railway journeys in the world; you’ll pass the rugged gorges and icy streams of the Canterbury Plains, arriving at Arthur’s Pass. Continue to Hokitika, then on to the epic Franz Josef Glacier. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 3: Franz Josef – Queenstown


Experience this magnificent glacial area, driving over the incredible Haast Pass, by the 96-metre Thunder Creek Falls, and the lakes of Wanaka, Hawea and Dunstan. After enjoying stonefruit in Cromwell, you’ll visit Arrowtown, famous for its gold mining history, before journeying onto Queensland. Upon arrival, enjoy a brief orientation tour. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Queenstown

At leisure, before an evening cruise along Lake Wakatipu. You’ll arrive at Walter Peak High Country Farm for a dinner and evening show. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 5: Queenstown – Te Anau

Drive down the so-called Devil’s Staircase towards the town of Te Anau, passing the rainforests of Fiordland National Park. In the afternoon, take a cruise to admire the cascading waterfalls and glacial landscape of the famous Milford Sound and Fiordland National Park. In the evening, opt to visit Te Anau Glowworm Caves (chargeable). (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 6: Te Anau – Dunedin

Transfer to Dunedin and enjoy an afternoon at leisure. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 7: Dunedin – Omarama

Opt to visit Larnach Castle in the morning (chargeable), before heading to the small town of Omarama. Pass the Benmore Dam en route. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 8: Omarama – Christchurch

It’s back towards Christchurch today, driving through the breathtaking Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. Pass the beautiful Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo, and stop at the Church of the Good Shepherd en route. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 9: Christchurch – Picton

Drive along the scenic Pacific Ocean coast, or opt to enjoy a whale-watching flight (chargeable) in the morning. Pass Lake Grassmere’s pink-tinged salt flats en route to Picton. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 10: Picton - Wellington

After a serene cruise along Queen Charlotte Sound, head to Wellington. Enjoy time at leisure, before visiting the facinating Te Papa Museum of New Zealand. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 11: Wellington – Rotorua

Venture along the scenic Kapiti Coast towards Tongariro National Park, drinking in panoramic views of the snowcapped Mount Ruapehu and Lake Taupo. After passing by the mighty Huka Falls, arrive in Rotorua. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 12: Rotorua

In the morning, ogle the cute animals at the multi-award-winning Agrodome Farm Show, before an afternoon at leisure. In the evening, rejoin your group for a traditional dinner in the Tamaki Māori Village. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 13: Rotorua – Auckland

After exploring the unique Waitomo Glowworm Grotto, cruise by road alongside Waikato - the longest river in the country. Upon arrival in Auckland, partake in an orientation tour. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 14: Auckland - UK

Transfer to the airport to catch your flight home. (Meals: breakfast)
