- A scenic and historic base: Nestled at the foot of Braid Hills, in an elevated position with views of the Pentland Hills in the distance, this hotel is perfect for those seeking an Edinburgh break with a heavy dose of nature and history. Dating back to 1886, this landmark hotel is particularly popular amongst golf enthusiasts, with no fewer than five courses surrounding it, and offers a grand experience complete with stained glass windows, towers and ornate details aplenty.
- Pretty guest rooms: Elegantly styled and primed to please, the guest rooms each offer a modern and relaxing atmosphere for the perfect night’s rest. They come complete with country-style decor and cosy furnishings, all awash with pretty patterns and soft colour schemes. Many of the rooms retain elements of the property’s historic features, for an even more charming experience.
- Inviting spaces and great views: Exuding classic Scottish style, the property’s communal areas are both attractive and welcoming. Head to 1886 Restaurant for flavourful food made using local ingredients, alongside an airy atmosphere and panoramic views across the city, Braidburn Valley Park and the Firth of Forth. Then, settle down at the lounge bar for a succulent Scottish malt whiskey or a pint of beer.
Please note that some dining and leisure facilities may be closed. Please call the hotel before you travel to find out if facilities have reopened.
