A luxurious boutique retreat in rural Wales, with a triple AA Rosette-awarded restaurant – includes breakfast

Tucked away in a picturesque corner of Wales, Grove of Narberth has earned itself a well-deserved reputation. Named in Harper’s Bazaar’s pick of ‘Top Ten UK Retreats’ and The Sunday Times 'Top 100 Best Places to Stay', as well as accolades from The Telegraph, The Independent and The Good Food Guide, this boutique beauty is rapidly becoming a benchmark of luxury accommodation in the UK. And when you see it, you’ll quickly realise why.

Grove of Narberth perfectly masters the tricky blend of laid-back and luxury. With three AA Rosette award-winning food, immaculate gardens, individually designed rooms and spectacular views of the Preseli Mountains, this cosy bolthole has everything you could need for a weekend getaway. In a nod to these excellent credentials, Grove of Narberth was named the Welsh Hotel of the Year in the Good Hotel Guide 2016 and was the Pride of Britain Hotel for 2015.

If you can drag yourself from these well adored, wood-panelled interiors, Grove of Narberth is just a short drive from Pembrokeshire National Park, which is ideal for stunning walks and breathing in the Welsh country air. The dining experience here is bound to draw you back, however, making this lovely restaurant-with-rooms an ideal choice for those who like to team fine food with the great outdoors. Grove of Narberth also boasts a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, and it's easy to see why.

Boasting a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and Good Hotel Guide Editor's Choice Award 2018, Deluxe rooms at the hotel are situated in the main house or traditional Bailiff's Cottage. Each is unique in its country-chic decor, boasting sumptuous fabrics, traditional touches (like stone walls and exposed wooden beams) and some come with a double-ended cast iron bath.

Dining

Encircled by trees and the hotel kitchen's very own garden, Grove of Narberth's highly praised Fernery restaurant took home a score of six in the Good Food Guide 2018; not altogether surprising when you consider the three AA Rosettes the kitchen has been awarded for its modern European fare.

Elsewhere, when the weather is nice, you can eat on the terrace, or escape the chill with an afternoon tea from the comfort of a deep sofa by the crackling fire in one of the cosy lounges. Artisan Rooms, overlooking the beautiful garden terrace, offers a menu inspired by the best of Welsh ingredients.
