Located in the heart of the Algarve’s Golden Triangle, the resort enjoys an enviable position for exploring the region; there's a wealth of options for being as active or inactive as you please. Beginning with the two-mile stretch of golden Algarvian sand of the Ria Formosa, options for beach basking and water sports abound. The area, which is also a mecca for golfers, can be explored on foot with a choice of two nature trails, or by boat, depending how energetic you feel. While there's little need to venture away from Quinta do Lago, bikes are available if you feel like visiting Faro and don't fancy taking the car.
