Optional excursions

• Day 3: Two-hour whale and dolphin-watching excursion (June - December only) •

The whales of Hermanus easily grow up to 50 metres, and can be spotted from a distance. The curious dolphins, on the other hand, often come directly to the boat. Along the way, your English-speaking guide will explain everything you need to know about marine life in the region. There's also a photographer on board, which gives you the opportunity to purchase photos and videos of your experience.

• Day 6 or 7: Full-day safari in Addo Elephant Park •

In Addo Elephant Park, you'll spend a full day discovering the magnificent wildlife, flora, and fauna of the vast park on a safari-style excursion. Spot animals big and small in their natural habitat as you're taken around the park by an English-speaking guide. The full-day safari is inclusive of park admission, breakfast, and drinks.

• Day 6 or 7: Sunrise safari in Addo Elephant Park •

For this beautiful sunrise safari, you'll be picked up at 6.30am and spend the next five hours among the wild animals in Addo Elephant Park with an English-speaking drive. The sunrise safari is inclusive of park admission, breakfast, and drinks.

• Day 6 or 7: Afternoon safari in Addo Elephant Park •

This afternoon, you'll be enchanted by the natural beauty of South Africa. How many elephants and other exotic residents of this national park can you spot? The afternoon day safari is inclusive of park admission, English-speaking guide, snacks, and drinks.

• Day 14, 15, 16 or 17: Helicopter flight over Cape Town •

See Cape Town from new heights with a thrilling helicopter ride. Take off from the V&A Waterfront & enjoy a scenic flight along the Atlantic Coast. You'll see Cape Town Stadium, Lions Head, Clifton, Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles. The flight lasts approximately 12-15 minutes. Transport from and to the hotel is included (minimum two people).

Payment

If you book this deal before 35 days of your departure, you can choose to pay in parts. The deposit will be 50% of the deal’s price plus the booking fee and travel and/or cancellation insurance (when applicable). Price changes	Please note that the flights included in this offer are subject to live availability and price, and can change during your booking process. When this is the case, we will always notify during the booking process.
Occupancy	Maximum 2 adults and 1 child up to 11 years per room.
Single supplement	The single supplement is based on travel dates and duration of travel. You will see the final price in the booking process.
Children's discount	A discount for children is offered dependent on the chosen travel dates and length of stay. You will see the applicable discount in the final booking process. Please note: children up to 12 months old receive a discount on the plane ticket, but will not receive a seat or baggage allowance.
Infant bed	Unfortunately, cots are not available throughout this trip.
Pets	Pets are not permitted on this trip due to international plane travel.

Passport	Your passport must be valid for six months upon arrival in South Africa. Your passport should have at least 2 blank pages when you present it at immigration. For up-to-date information, visit the official gov.uk website.
Visa	For travel in South Africa, British citizens do not need a visa.
Vaccinations	All travellers should be up to date with primary courses and boosters. Vaccinations usually recommended for travel to South Africa include Diphtheria; Hepatitis A. Consult your doctor or the NHS travel advice website for more information.
Children and travel	Accompanied children under the age of 18 are required to present a valid passport upon arrival.
Currency	The national currency of South Africa is South African Rand (ZAR).
