An unforgettable journey through Nepal and Bhutan with city, jungle and mountain stays, including all travel, breakfast and excursions

Discover the spiritual core of one of the world’s most charismatic countries, Nepal. First up is the charismatic capital of Kathmandu, where you'll have some free time to explore the city upon arrival. You'll take a tour of temple-filled Bhaktapur, discovering The Royal Palace and its impressive entrance door, which is embossed with beautiful art.

Heading onwards to Chitwan National Park, you'll take an excursion through one of the richest parks in Asia, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Discover prehistoric trees, twisting vines and a host of local wildlife including rhinos, elephants, crocodiles and pythons.

Next, you'll take in beautiful Himalayan views at your accommodation in Pokhara, situated just a five-minute walk from Phewa Lake – the largest lake in Pokhara. You'll get the chance to take a boat ride across the lake and see the beautiful Devi Waterfall and the Sacred Cave of Gupteshwor, before heading back to Kathmandu for a night.

It's on to Nagarkot next, a village nestled in the mountains that's famous for its stunning views over the Himalayas. Whilst here, you'll take guided walks in the hills surrounding Nagarkot to take in the beautiful scenery. Then, you'll spend your final night back in Kathmandu, squeezing in visits to Boudhanath – one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal – and Pashupatinath Temple, before moving on to Bhutan.

Your first stop is Thimphu, the capital city which is located in a verdant valley. A city tour will see you visiting the King's memorial and a craft centre – known for its traditional arts, as well as Changgangkha Monastery the National Institute of Tree Medicines, the Paper Factory and two of Thimphu's most exquisite traditional Dzongs.

Punakha's up next, where you'll visit Dzong Punakha – the imposing winter residence of the spiritual leader of Bhutan and thought to be one of the most beautiful constructions in the country. Then, you'll move on to Paro, where you'll make the pilgrimage to the famous Taktsang Monastery, perched on a cliff overlooking the outstanding natural landscape. Soak in the unique atmosphere then head back to Kathmandu for the night, before heading home.
