Day 1: UK - Kathmandu

You'll spend the night on board as you fly from the UK to Nepal today.

Day 2: Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu. Spend the entire day at leisure - we suggest exploring the historic Old Town and the Garden of Dreams. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3: Kathmandu

Today you'll visit 'the city of the devotees', Bhaktapur. See Durbar Square, the Royal Palace and Nyatapola Temple. Continue on to the oldest temple in the Kathmandu Valley, Changu Narayan Temple in Changu, and take in the beautiful view. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Kathmandu


Take a guided tour around the city, then visit the Kumari Temple and Swayambhunath Stupa. There’s also an optional Mount Everest flight-seeing excursion in the morning (£199 per person). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5: Kathmandu - Chitwan

It's time to head to Chitwan and settle into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the villages of the Tharu indigenous people in the foothills of the Himalayas, learning about their culture and customs, such as the intriguing Tharu Stick Dance. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Chitwan

You’ll delve into Chitwan National Park today, one of the richest parks in Asia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover prehistoric trees, twisting vines and a host of local wildlife including rhinos, elephants, crocodiles and pythons. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: Chitwan - Pokhara

Journey to Pokhara and pay a visit to Bandipur Village to learn the practices of the Newari culture. Arrive in Pokhara, with its views of Annapurna. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 8: Pokhara

Climb up to the Sarangkot viewpoint to enjoy a stunning sunrise over the glorious mountain peaks. See Devi Waterfall and enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Phewa Lake, then dive into the hubbub of Pokhara's Old Bazaar. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 9: Pokhura - Kathmandu


Drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying the dramatic landscapes and scenery along your six-hour drive. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 10: Kathmandu - Nagarkot


Today, journey Nagarkot, a village nestled in the mountains boasting views of the Himalayas. Check into Himalayan Villa and watch a spectacular sunset. Overnight in Nagarkot. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 11: Nagarkot

Spend your day hiking, and bask in the simplicity of the natural landscapes, terraced farmland and Himalayan views. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 12: Nagarkot - Kathmandu


Wake up early to watch another sunset over the mountains. Visit the Pashupatinath Temple and the Boudhanath Stupa.(Meals: breakfast)

Day 13: Kathmandu - Paro - Thimphu

Transfer to the airport to catch a flight to Paro in Bhutan. Transfer to Thimphu. (Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 14: Thimphu

Tour Thimphu in the morning. In the afternoon, visit Changgangkha Monastery, the National Institute of Tree Medicines, the Paper Factory and the Tashicho Dzong and Simtokha Dzong. (Meals: full board)

Day 15: Thimphu - Dochula Pass - Punakha

Set off towards Punakha, walking along the stunning Dochula Pass. Visit Dzong Punakha and the Chimi Lhakhang temple. (Meals: full board)

Day 16: Punakha - Paro

Head towards Paro, visiting Wangdue Dzong and Semthoka Dzong en route. Visit the Drukgyel Dzong and discover the temples of Kichu Lhakhang. (Meals: full board)

Day 17: Paro


Visit the famous Taktsang Monastery, known as the Tiger's Nest. In the afternoon, visit Ta Dzong. (Meals: full board)

Day 18: Paro - Kathmandu

Transfer to the airport to take a flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 19: Kathmandu - UK

Transfer to the airport to catch your flight home.

In short, you pay Secret Escapes a non-refundable deposit to secure your holiday, then you pay the holiday supplier the remaining balance of the holiday - as advertised - at a later date (before you travel).

We've added deposit-only sales to enable our members to get early-bird access to more amazing holidays, and because we know that planning and paying for a holiday can take time.
