Traverse across the glittering Aegean on a seven-night cruise and discover from of Greece's best known - and best hidden - islands, as well as spending a night in the ancient capital, Athens - with all travel
With its uniquely eclectic mix of ancient ruins, Greek mythology and Olympic history, Athens has more cultural clout than almost any other place in the world. Add to that a vibrant bar and restaurant scene and you’ve got the makings of a pretty amazing city break. You'll spend one night in Greece's capital, so make sure to hit the top sites: the Acropolis, Kolonaki Square and, for stellar views, Mount Lycabettus.
Day 1: Marina Zeas, Piraeus
Piraeus, a port town to the southwest of Athens, is where the grand MS Panorama will be waiting for you. At around 2pm, you'll board your home for the next seven nights and enjoy a cocktail, before setting off towards your first destination: Ios. You'll also enjoy a welcome dinner with other guests. (Meals: dinner)
Day 2: Ios & Santorini
Your first stop is Manganari Beach on the island of Ios. Manganari is often considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, and you'll have the chance to swim out into the crystal waters here. Then, it's onto one of Greece's most glamorous islands, Santorini. The whitewashed town of Fira awaits at the top of a cable car, which you can explore at leisure, or take an optional tour of Akrotiri, the lost city buried in the eurption that formed the famed caldera. Your tour ends in Oia, where you'll watch one mesmerising sunset. (Meals: breakfast, plus lunch or dinner)
Day 3: Patmos
Steeped in history, Patmos is home to many UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and you have the option to take excursions around two of these today: the Grotto and Monastery of St. John, and the historic centre of Chora, a medieval town. The afternoon will be yours to enjoy the island's capital, Scala, at your own pace, or swim off one of the golden beaches off the coast. (Meals: breakfast, plus lunch or dinner)
Day 4: Kusadasi & Samos
Today, you'll land on the Turkish coast in Kusadasi, a beach resort town with a fascinating history. Walk in Anthony and Cleopatra's footsteps by embarking on an optional tour to Ephesus, the largest archaeological site in the Aegean region, and delve in deeper in ancient civilisations. It's then on to Samos, to enjoy a late afternoon swim, or walk the narrow alleys in search of Greek specialities. (Meals: breakfast, plus lunch or dinner)
Day 5: Delos & Mykonos
One of the Cyclades Islands, Delos is yet another island teeming with culture and history. Known for being the mythical birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, why not explore the island's offerings on a two-hour guided walking tour, including UNESCO-listed archaeological sites. Around lunch, you'll sail to a beautiful bay to relax and take a refreshing dip. Late afternoon, set sail to Mykonos, another whitewashed, glamorous island known for its vibrant nightlife. (Meals: breakfast, plus lunch or dinner)
Day 6: Tinos
Leaving the lights of Mykonos behind, it's time to embrace the quieter side of Greece with a stop at Tinos. Bronze on the beach or dive in the waters, before enjoying a barbecue on Ysternia beach. You'll then sail into Tinos harbour, where you can see a slice of local village life on an optional excursion, which includes visiting the picturesque villages of Exovergo and Volax, as well as meeting with basket weavers and marble sculptors. (Meals: breakfast, plus lunch or dinner)
Day 7: Kythnos & Cape Sounion
Slip down a few more gears on Kythnos and enjoy a swim-stop and a barbecue on the beach, before setting sail to your last stop, Cape Sounion, the southern most tip of the Attic peninsula. Enjoy farewell cocktails under the Temple of Poseidon, before boarding back on for your return to Piraeus. (Meals: breakfast, plus lunch or dinner)
Day 8: Marina Zeas, Piraeus
It's time to disembark the MS Panorama and catch your flight home. (Meals: breakfast)
