Traverse Southeast Asia on a cruise stopping in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, and embark on an enthralling Vietnam tour from Hanoi to Hoi An - includes exciting excursions, full-board cruise and all travel

Ready, set, go: your epic Southeast Asian adventure starts here. Your first stop will be Hanoi, where you’ll have breakfast and some time to settle in before you head out on a city tour to explore Vietnam’s enigmatic capital. Enjoy a cyclo tour around the lively streets plus an authentic lunch at a local restaurant, before wandering around the Tran Quoc Pagoda and catching a sunset setting over West Lake. The following day, you’ll set off for Ninh Binh, visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Tam Coc on your way.

Next up is one to tick off the bucket list - a cruise across UNESCO-listed Halong Bay on a traditional junk boat, with a super-fresh seafood lunch as you wind through the limestone cliffs. The following day you’ll fly to Da Nang. Be enchanted on a city tour of Hoi An, Vietnam’s French-colonial wonder, full to the brim with quaint charm and impressive architecture, then visit a local village. Explore the water coconut palm forest by bamboo basket boat and learn to fish, before you fly back to Singapore.

Upon arrival in the glittering island-state of Singapore, you'll enjoy a relaxing night's rest before being whisked off to port to board the majestic Sapphire Princess by Princess Cruises, voted the best large ship cruise line in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2011-2014. You’ll set off north, in the direction of Port Klang, roughly an hour away from the city of Kuala Lumpur. Head into the city to see its famous Twin Towers and shop in the high-end malls, before returning to the ship and moving onwards to Penang, further up the Malaysian coast. You’ll witness ornate Buddhist temples and Chinese architecture here, and there’s plenty to explore to fill up your day.

Thailand is next up on the list, with a stop in Phuket. Must-sees here include the Big Buddha, which sits in a prime hilltop position with views of the whole island, and the calm, yellow-sanded beaches speckled along the coast. Embrace your time on land, since your next three days will be spent at sea, sailing to Indonesia. Make sure to make the most of your ship’s extensive activities; gamble in the casino, peruse the art gallery, watch a musical or a movie, or just lounge by the pool and sip cocktail after cocktail from one of the many bars.

You’ll arrive in Bali early in the morning, docking in Benoa Bay for a day’s exploring. You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches here, but if its tranquillity you’re after, your best bet is to grab a taxi down to the bottom of the peninsula to enjoy the serene quiet of Pandawa or Green Bowl beaches. Hop back onboard in the evening for another two days at sea, before returning to Singapore for your flight home.
