An exciting Italian escape between Rome, Florence and Venice with optional tours in each city - includes breakfast, flights and train travel between cities

Food, art, history, and breathtaking natural landscapes – Italy’s got it all. Take some time to live la dolce vita and visit three iconic cities, steeped in beauty and culture.

First, you’ll fly into Rome for a stay at Palladium Palace Hotel. The city is brimming with monuments, best seen on an optional city tour, with a knowledgeable local guide. Cross the Piazza della Repubblica, make a wish at the Trevi Fountain, and visit the Pantheon, St. Peter’s Basilica, and more. Spend time taking in more famous ancient sights, such as the Colosseum, or simply indulge in more worldly pleasures, like superb shopping or an all-day apperitivo.

You’ll then be whisked away by train to Florence to enjoy a sojourn at Atlantic Palace Hotel. Capital of Tuscany and birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is home to masterpieces such as the Duomo Cathedral, with its Brunelleschi dome and Giotto bell tower. The Galleria dell'Accademia displays Michelangelo’s David while the Uffizi exhibits Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and da Vinci’s Annunciation. While you may prefer to wander the city at your leisure, you can also opt to visit the nearby Chianti region to sample the local wine, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and cheese, on a decadent half-day tasting tour.

Finally, you’ll take a train to Venice for a stay at Hotel Giorgione, close to the Rialto Bridge and St Mark’s Square. Wander serenely along Venice's waterways, passing under small arched bridges, gazing up at the fabulous medieval palaces on either side, their shimmering reflections dancing on the surface of the water. Opt for a romantic gondola ride and live out a postcard-perfect Venetian fantasy, seeing all these sights from the optimal vantage point on the canals.
