Optional excursions

If you want to add a little more adventure to your trip, you can book the following optional excursions. All excursions can be booked and paid for during the booking process. Please note that these excursions can take place in groups and are in English.

• Rafting on the Ayung River (Day 2) • Experience an unforgettable experience through deep gorges, past lush jungle landscapes, wide rice terraces and enchanting waterfalls; white water rafting on the Ayung is a very special experience. Start the day at 9am and get equipped with helmets and life jackets before taking to the water. Included: transfer, welcome drink, equipment, introduction and lunch Duration: 4-5 hours (of which approx. 2 hours are rafting)

• Bicycle Tour (Day 2) • Discover Bali in a different way: On this excursion you can explore the island by bicycle accompanied by an experienced guide. You'll cycle through small villages, take part in a ceremony in a temple and watch the local wood carvers at work. You can also meet a Balinese family before enjoying lunch in the green surroundings. Start: 9am (start of the bicycle tour is 11.30am) Included: Transfer to Kintamani, guide and lunch Duration: 6-7 hours

• Dolphin Tour (Day 5) • You will be picked up at 6am for your dolphin watching tour, as dolphins are more active at this time, giving you more chance of seeing them. You'll take a traditional wooden boat out to sea to see the wild dolphins in their natural habitat over a dream-like sunrise - an unforgettable experience. Start: 6am Included: transfer and guide Duration: 1.5-2 hours

• Sunrise Hike to Mount Batur (Day 7) • You will be picked up from the hotel at 2am to climb the active volcano Mount Batur. This excursion is one of the most incredible hiking experiences in Bali. Around 6.15am you will reach the crater, where you will probably experience the most beautiful sunrise of your life. Don't forget to put on good hiking shoes and bring some cash to enjoy a hot drink at sunrise when you get to the top. Included: Transfer from the hotel to the starting point of the hike (Pura Jati temple), guide, introduction to safety precautions Duration: approx. 6.5-7 hours

If you book this deal before 35 days of your departure, you can choose to pay in parts. The deposit will be 50% of the deal’s price plus the booking fee and travel and/or cancellation insurance (when applicable). Nypei & Silent Day	Please note that Nyepi, the commemoration of the Balinese Saka Calendar, falls on 11 March 2024. Those travelling in Bali at this time must follow the local customs, which include a restriction on physical work, movement or travel, and entertainment. The silence begins sunrise around 6:00 am of 11 March 2024 and will go on until the next 24 hours All shops are closed on Silent Day Guests must stay inside the hotel area When listening to the music or watching TV in the room, guests must keep the sound at a minimum level There will be no traffic on that day in the whole Bali island Ngurah Rai airport will be totally closed on 11 March 2024, so there will be neither arrivals nor departures in the airport on that day. Across Bali, the only activities permitted are in emergency rooms and maternity section of hospitals and the arrival section of airport. Any emergencies are taken into consideration. The whole island is in silence.
