11-night South Africa trip, with stays in Cape Town (with Cape Peninsula and Winelands tours) and a private Kruger private game reserve (full board with game drives)

This unmissable South African adventure begins with a seven-night stay at Winchester Mansions in Cape Town, followed by an overnight stay at Sun O.R. Tambo International Airport Hotel in Johannesburg, culminating with a three-night sojourn at Elandela Private Game Reserve in Kruger National Park.

Fly from the UK to Johannesburg, where you’ll fly on to Cape Town for a seven-night stay at Winchester Mansions on the Atlantic oceanfront, near the famous V & A Waterfront and the harbour. With a stunning mountain backdrop, this part of the coastline boasts many beautiful beaches.

During your stay you’ll enjoy a full day’s tour of the Cape Peninsula. Cruise along Millionaire’s Paradise from Clifton to Camps Bay and on to Llandudno before a Seal Island cruise. Wind along Chapman’s Peak Drive, stopping at the Cape of Good Hope section of Table Mountain National Park. Meander back along the coast, visiting Simon’s Town and the Boulder’s Beach penguin colony, ending at the exquisite Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

You’ll also be treated to a full day’s Winelands tour. Visit the exquisite little town of Franschhoek, passing by the impressive Huguenot Monument. Wind your way to the heady heights of the Helshoogte Mountain Pass to meet the charming town of Stellenbosch on the other side. End with wine-tasting at two different wine estates.

You’ll then fly back to Jo'burg, for a one-night stay at Southern Sun O.R. Tambo International Airport Hotel, before driving to the Kruger region for a three-night full-board stay at the intimate Elendela Private Game Reserve.

Offering superior game-viewing opportunities - be it on a walking safari conducted by friendly knowledgeable guides or by way of a specially equipped all-terrain vehicle, you’ll enjoy two game drives per day during your stay. Here you'll enjoy wildlife encounters with white rhinos, leopards, white lions, elephants tawny lions, cheetahs, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles and antelopes, in both Elandela's own private reserve and the neighbouring Kruger National Park. You’ll then return to Jo’burg for your flight home.

Good to know

Please note that you’ll take a shared transfer by road from Johannesburg to the game lodge, which takes about 5.5 hours in total.
