Delight in a fantastic Dubai stay with an eye-opening, full-board cruise to Khasab, Muscat and Abu Dhabi - includes all travel

Days 1-3: Dubai, UAE

Your first stop on this city and cruise escape is the opulent cosmopolitan city of Dubai, where you’ll stay in the luxurious Rove Dubai Marina, five minutes from Dubai World Trade Centre. From here, marvel at the soaring skyscrapers and the gigantic Dubai Mall, and sitting proud next to Dubai Marina.

Spend your time soaking up all the glitz and glam Dubai has to offer, from the world-famous restaurants and beaches of the Palm Jumeirah to the world-class shopping spread across the city. Those who want a smidge more culture might enjoy the Saruq Al-Hadid Archaeological Museum or Bait Al Banat Women’s Museum. On day three, it’ll be time to settle into the plush Jewel of the Seas cruise ship. After boarding, spend time getting acquainted with the vessel and its myriad entertainment hotspots, restaurants and bars. At 5pm, the grand dame sets sail. (Meals: breakfast, dinner on day three)

Day 4: Sir Bani Yas Island, UAE

With the ship docking at 8am, you'll have ample time to spot Sir Bani Yas Island's hoards of cheetah, gazelle and Arabian oryx at the Arabian Wildlife Park, and this is most fun on a 4x4. Elsewhere, ruins of a church, monastery and courtyard houses dating from the 7th and 8th centuries reveal the UAE's only known ancient Christian site. At 6pm, the ship departs. (Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 5: Khasab, Oman

With its rugged coast and dolphins, Khasab makes for a great day stop. Visit the portside castle and seafront fort, weave in and out of the souks, or spend a day relaxing on the beach. (Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 6: Muscat, Oman

Oman's historical capital of Muscat is a fascinating place, where mod skyscrapers mix with ancient monuments. Be sure to visit the marble-clad Sultan Qaboos Mosque, an endlessly impressive sight. (Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 7: At sea

Today you'll be cruising along on your way to Abu Dhabi, so perhaps spend the day on board rock climbing, swimming, or pampering yourself in the spa. Night on board. (Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 8: Abu Dhabi, UAE

An Abu Dhabi must-visit is the spectacular Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and desert and culinary adventures are aplenty too. Recently turned into a museum, the city's oldest and all-white building of Qasr Al Hosn makes an interesting history-rich visit. Squeeze in time for essential shopping in the city too if you can, before the ship sets sail at 8pm. Night on board. (Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Days 9-10: Dubai, UAE

You arrive back in shimmering Dubai today, ready for a second bout of glitzy city life. The day is yours to shape as you see fit, maybe delving into the historic Al Fahidi district to wonder at old buildings and buy vibrant textiles in the souk, or hit the Palm Jumeirah's DJ-dotted beach clubs. Night on board. (Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner)
