Take in all the charms Western Canada has to offer, plus an unforgettable Alaska cruise, super scenic Rocky Mountaineer train journeys and two days at Calgary's annual rodeo - including all travel

Vancouver

More than just a pretty face, the mountain-rimmed city of Vancouver is an epicurean enclave with a growing crop of microbreweries and Insta-worthy neighbourhoods, from uber-cool Gastown to hipster Main Street; soak up these urban sights in a city framed by incredible natural scenery.

Alaska

You'll spend the next seven nights cruising Alaska's waters, taking in Icy Strait Point and the Hubbard Glacier - the largest tidewater glacier in North America - before Alaska's capital city, Juneau, and the southernmost settlement of Ketchikan, which is best known for its collection of Native American totem poles, which pepper the town. You'll wind up back in Vancouver, where you'll disembark.

Vancouver

You'll spend one further night in Vancouver, before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer train the next day.

Kamloops

Kamloops occupies a particularly scenic location at the meeting point of the North and South Thompson rivers. There are numerous hiking trails to enjoy both within Sun Peaks Resort and up to the clay spires which rise above Kamloops Lake, as well as a mountain biking park. The wildlife park to the east of town is home to Canada's famous bears and cougars, whilst back in the city itself, you'll find a plethora of museums, art galleries, bars, live music venues, breweries, restaurants and shops.

Banff

This resort town sits within Banff National Park. You can really immerse yourself in nature here, and explore the untouched wilderness with outdoor adventures galore. Watch out for the wildlife - residents here include elk and grizzly bears.

Calgary

This eclectic city merges modern living with old traditions. Nicknamed "Cowtown", it comes to life each July with the Calgary Stampede - a huge rodeo and festival which you'll have two-day tickets to. Enjoy the afternoon rodeo before an evening show, as well as two WestJet Sky Ride tickets, a tote bag and an absolute rodeo essential - a cowboy hat.
