A former Shoreditch courthouse reimagined as a luxury hotel, with a bowling alley, indoor pool and immersive food and drink scene – includes full English breakfast

Beautifully set in a Grade II listed Baroque-style building, the brand new Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch has been created from an impressive former courthouse in London's East End. Given the area's historical reputation for gangster activity, you can rightly assume a fair few tearaways were once seen climbing these city steps to face trial. Step from the elegant wellness area, complete with an indoor swimming pool and fitness studio, to the hotel's two-lane bowling alley, and onto the restaurant for British dishes served amid courthouse memorabilia.

It's said that the infamous Kray brothers were held in the cells in this building. Follow in their footsteps to create your own personal piece of history, as you enjoy the building today in its glorious reincarnation. The theme continues all the way to the drinking and dining experience - you could even hire one of the padded cells to find yourself clinking cocktails behind bars. Add to this a roof terrace with city views, and you've got a knock-out addition to London's hotel scene. The hotel scored a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Good to know

Please be aware that the roof terrace is open during the summer months only, depending on weather conditions.

Using of the bowling alley is subject to an additional charge of £45 per lane, per hour for hotel guests.
