Highlights

From your location, two minutes away from Karl Johans gate, you’re in prime position to explore Norway’s creative and innovative capital. Start by walking up and down Oslo’s famous street, which starts at Oslo Cathedral, and ends at the Royal Palace. Once you’ve seen these historic sights, set your eyes on the futuristic Opera House, where you can walk up its sloping sides, or visit the The Vigeland Museum - a tranquil sculpture park full of Gustav Vigeland's creations.

Art enthusiasts won't want to miss the relatively new Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, which resides in the city's up-and-come waterfront area, and the Munch Museum is a must-do - it's dedicated to the life and works of the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. Between March and October, take the ferry to the Bygdøy peninsula (it leaves from Pier 3 behind the City Hall) to visit some of the city's most popular museums, including the Norsk Folkemuseum, the Kon-Tiki Museum and the Viking Ship Museum - home to the world's best preserved viking ship.
