A 13-night Thailand trip that takes in city sights, cultural highlights and blissful beach - including breakfast in two destinations, a massage and all travel
Woven into the Indochina Peninsula in a tapestry of ancient monuments, gleaming skyscrapers, impossibly beautiful beaches and colourful street-food stands, Thailand has something to offer even the most jaded of travellers. This 13-night holiday takes you to three of the country's most awe-inspiring destinations in a sweep of city, culture and golden shore.
You’ll begin your Thai journey with three five-star nights in bustling Bangkok, at the gleaming, riverside Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers. The Thai capital is a striking metropolis that immerses you in an intoxicating blend of new and old, where historic landmarks and awe-inspiring palaces rub shoulders with state-of-the-art city shopping malls and upscale eateries. Among the city’s many alluring treasures are a staggering 400 beautifully built Buddhist temples.
Next, you’ll journey to Thailand’s cultural capital, Chiang Mai, where you'll stay for three nights at Tamarind Village, named after its setting in an old tamarind orchard in the heart of the historic quarter. Here you'll enjoy the best of both worlds; staying within walking distance of riverside restaurants and famous night markets alongside the awesome, ancient temples. Be sure to explore some of the area’s most impressive examples, including Wat Phra Sing, Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Chiang Man.
Then it's onto beautiful Koh Samui for a final stint of uninterrupted rest and relaxation at Poppies Samui Resort & Spa – a tranquil collection of cottages, luxuriously kitted out with every comfort. With accommodation in a Feng Shui-inspired cottage, you’ll be just steps from the resort's pool and the renowned white sands of Chaweng Beach. With white sands, turquoise waters and leafy palms extending out in every direction, it really doesn’t get much more beautiful than this.
