A relaxed red-brick manor stay within easy reach of central Manchester and the beautiful Peak District - with breakfast, a glass of wine, and an optional dinner and suite option

Occupying an imposing red-brick Victorian manor house in the Cheshire market town of Cheadle, Cheadle House is ideally positioned if you are jetting in or out from Manchester airport, which is only a few miles away. Despite this, a peaceful stay is assured, as the hotel sits on a quiet road and is protected by a number of mature trees. City slickers and nature lovers are equally well served, as from here you can easily access central Manchester’s buzzing nightlife and shopping, as well as the natural splendour of the Peak District.

Behind the well-kept 19th-century facade you’ll find smart modern interiors, with the lobby area offering plenty of cosy nooks to kick back in. Elsewhere is the welcoming Alderley Restaurant, where you can start the day as you mean to go on with a hearty full English with the works. Dinner is just as tasty, and you can take your pick from a celebration of British classics with a modern twist. Keep things merry with a post-dinner tipple in the cosy Mottram Bar, with its Bibendum-selected wine list and giant TV screen (ideal for catching the match from legendary Old Trafford just down the road).

Good to know

The hotel is a popular wedding venue, so it may be a tad lively at times.
