Journey through Uganda’s breathtaking national parks, observing gorillas, chimpanzees and other incredible wildlife – with all travel, safari-style stays game drives and more

Day 1: Entebbe - Kibale National Park

You’ll touch down in Entebbe, from where you’ll be whisked off to Kibale Forest National Park, your first destination. On the way, you’ll be taken on a scenic tour of Ndali’s Crater Lakes – be sure to have your cameras at the ready, because this will be your first of many photo ops. Meals: breakfast

Day 2: Kibale - Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you’ll head out on a guided chimpanzee trek through the rainforest, where you’ll observe our primate kin in their natural surroundings and learn all about their habits. In the afternoon, you’ll transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for another safari-style tent stay, where animals freely roam and may even pay you a visit as you eat dinner under the stars. Meals: breakfast 

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park

You’ll rise before the sun the next day in order to set out on a sunrise game drive through the national park, where you’ll have the chance to spot lions, buffalo, elephants, leopards, and hyenas – if you’re lucky. In the afternoon, you’ll take to the water for a cruise down Kanziga Channel, home to hippos, crocodiles, and buffalo. Meals: breakfast

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi National Park

You’ll take the scenic route driving to your next destination of Bwindi National Park. En-route, you’ll pass through Ishasha with its famous tree-climbing lions, and stop for a picnic lunch. You'll then arrive at the iconic national park, where endangered silverback mountain gorillas who call this national park home. Meals: breakfast and lunch

Day 5: Bwindi National Park

You’ll spend the day in search of these regal primates, making your way through the rainforest until you reach them. You’ll observe them grooming, interacting, feeding, and going about their lives – a truly incredible sight to behold. Meals: breakfast

Day 6: Bwindi National Park - Lake Mburo National Park

Now, trade rainforest for savannah as you make your way to Lake Mburo National Park, where lions, hyenas, zebras and giraffes roam free. By the lake, try to spot crocodiles and hippos – from a safe distance – while ogling spectacular views during a game drive. Meals: breakfast

Day 7: Lake Mburo National Park - Entebbe

A bush walk early the next morning will be your best shot at seeing all these amazing creatures up close, under the watchful supervision of an expert guide. After a late breakfast, you’ll pack up and head back to Entebbe, stopping on the way for lunch at the Ugandan equator – another worthy photo op. Meals: breakfast

Day 8: Entebbe

After one last night in Entebbe, you’ll reluctantly treanfer to the airport to catch your overnight flight to the UK. Meals: breakfast

This holiday allows you to spread the cost of your break by paying only the deposit upfront. The remaining balance is due at a later date and is to be paid directly to the holiday supplier (the exact date will be stated on your booking confirmation).

What is a deposit?

In short, you pay Secret Escapes a non-refundable deposit to secure your holiday, then you pay the holiday supplier the remaining balance of the holiday - as advertised - at a later date (before you travel).

We've added deposit-only sales to enable our members to get early-bird access to more amazing holidays, and because we know that planning and paying for a holiday can take time.
