• Northern Lights season is between early September and end of April.

• All excursions (except cruises) include pick-up and drop-off either from your hotel or a designated bus stop nearby.

• For Northern Lights and whale watching cruises, please be aware that guests must make their own way to Reykjavik's Old Harbour.

• The Northern Lights are of course a naturally-occurring phenomenon, so while you will have a good chance of seeing them (and we'll cross our fingers for you), we cannot guarantee they will oblige!

• Please note that the whale watching cruise is a wildlife tour, and despite the crew's expertise, sightings of any kind can never be predicted or guaranteed.

• Your Blue Lagoon trip will depart at 5pm for a 6pm arrival. Upon arrival, you'll receive a drink and a towel, as well as a silica mud mask as you enjoy the thermal waters.

• Please note that the Northern Lights cruise does not operate on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, and will be booked on another date for you.

COVID-19 Travel update

From 18 March, all travellers who can provide proof of a certified vaccination will be allowed to enter Iceland without being subject to PCR testing and quarantine. Visitors who can provide valid evidence of prior infection are also exempt from border measures. This exemption will apply to citizens outside the Schengen area, including the UK.

Airport and excursion transfers

Please note that transfers from Keflavík Airport to the Reykjavík Terminal take approximately 45 minutes. The pick-up and drop-off points for transfers and excursions will be either directly at the hotel, or at a nearby designated bus stop.

For Hotel Holt - The Art Hotel, the nearest bus stop is an eight- to 10-minute walk from the hotel, and on a slight slope.
