An intrepid and enriching 11-night adventure to the Himalayan nations of Nepal and Bhutan, with all travel, guided tours and four-star hotels

Travel far beyond the ordinary to two of Asia’s most intriguing and breathtaking destinations. A paradise in the Himalayas, Nepal and Bhutan will take your breath away with their temple-dotted landscapes, charming villages and protected wildlife.

The tour begins in the trekker-mecca of Kathmandu, where you’ll take in UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Swayambhunath, or ‘Monkey Temple’, the largest and holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside of Tibet. From here, you’ll travel to Pokhara, driving alongside the scenic Trisuli and Marsyangdi River with views of the snow-capped Ganesh Himal and Manaslu peak, then rising early the next day to watch the sunrise over the awe-inspiring mountain scenery.

Watch the landscape change from mighty heights to the lush lowlands of South Nepal’s Chitwan National Park, abundant with birdlife, slinking big cats and elephants. Venture out into the wilderness on guided safaris, traversing jungle and streams, before preparing for your journey to the enigmatic kingdom of Bhutan.

Spend a full day exploring the cultural highlights of the capital city, Thimphu, with its national museums, traditional arts and crafts, and sanctuary for the peculiar-looking takin - Bhutan’s national animal. Marvel at the country’s pristine natural wonders and extraordinary mix of the ancient and the new, ending your adventure with a hike up to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, a spectacular complex of temples built into the cliffside that few tourists will ever have the chance to visit.
