An eye-popping escapade from Canada's gushing Niagara Falls to New York City's neon lights, with optional two nights in Washington – all travel included plus optional tours

This North American bucket list-ticking escapade whizzes you from Canada's top attention-grabber to the exuberant Big Apple, with an optional jaunt to the American capital to round it off.

You'll begin at Canada’s grand Sheraton On The Falls Hotel, the home of the only spa in the world to overlook Niagara Falls. Enjoy GUINOT spa products or floor-to-ceiling views of the Falls from some of the guestrooms, alongside the award-winning restaurant. To take in this Wonder of the Natural World in all its glory, opt for a helicopter tour over the majestic Niagara Parks, navigating the rainbows above Whirlpool Rapids, the American Falls and the Skylon Tower. From the gushing splendour of Niagara, you'll whizz down from Canada by train to vivacious New York City.

Next, you'll head to the iconic New Yorker hotel in Midtown – with its lit-up red sign in block lettering, this has been a landmark of the New York skyline since 1929. Located steps from the larger than life billboards and all-night action of Times Square, the city’s major attractions are all at your fingertips. Spend the morning strolling through Central Park and its famous zoo, before checking out modern art masterpieces at the MoMa, or just wander New York’s lively neighbourhoods, each with their own character and charm.

Finally, opt to round off your trip with a final two days in Washington, D.C. - home to more power than an electrical grid, and when you stroll around this capital city, it’s hard not to feel the energy coursing through. Around the National Mall alone, you’ve got the White House, the justices at the Supreme Court Building, the reps at the Capitol and all the monuments to American influencers past. If you throw yourself right in – well, it all might come as a bit of a shock. Better to start out with a hideout, like Kimpton Topaz Hotel, in Dupont Circle. This happening part of town is also a historic residential neighbourhood, and Kimpton’s luxe boutique contribution is artsy and cosy to match.
