Day 2: Buenos Aires

Your journey begins in the crumbling streets of San Telmo, the Buenos Aires neighbourhood that has the melancholic tales of tango running through its veins. Once you’ve arrived, transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the sprawling city at your leisure.

Day 3: Buenos Aires

You'll head out on a tour to see fabulous key city sights, from the pink cake-like Casa Rosada where a coiffed Eva Perón used to wave to adoring crowds from the balcony, to the gritty La Boca port area where immigrants originally docked, and the green spaces and edgy boutiques of Palermo. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Buenos Aires

Spend the day at leisure in Buenos Aires, soaking up your final moments in the vibrant city. Opt to enjoy dinner and a tango show in the evening (chargeable). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5: Buenos Aires - Iguazú

Fly north to the balmy climes of the Argentina-Brazil border, home to the wondrous wall of water that is Iguazú Falls. The magnitude of this natural phenomenon is hard to digest, even when faced with the cacophony of noise that booms out from the backdrop of tropical jungle bejewelled with colourful, butterflies, birds and flowers. Arrive at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Iguazú

Today, you’ll visit the Argentinian side of Iguazú Falls, taking the train to the 'Devil’s Throat' where a lookout area gives you the chance to watch the water gushing down an 80-metre sheer drop. You’ll get to walk over bridges and take in panoramic views of the surrounding nature. There’s also an optional boat ride, should you wish (chargeable). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: Iguazú

You’ll visit the Brazilian side of Iguazú Falls today – one of the world’s natural wonders. Take a walk along the bridges and soak up the panoramic views of luscious exotic scenery while listening to the thundering roar of the water. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 8: Iguazú - Rio de Janeiro

Transfer to the airport and fly to Rio de Janeiro, where the streets are filled with the sound of samba and carnival colours reign supreme. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 9: Rio de Janeiro

After breakfast, go on a half-day tour to the summit of the famous Corcovado mountain, to gaze up at the huge Christ the Redeemer and down at the city and ocean below. In the afternoon, sample fruit at a local market. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 10: Rio de Janeiro

Either spend the day exploring the dizzying streets at leisure, or take an optional guided tour to the city's Metropolitan Cathedral and the 395-metre-high Sugarloaf Mountain by cablecar (chargeable). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 11: Rio de Janeiro - Buzios

Finally, you’ll wind down in Buzios, the chic peninsula beach resort that Brazilians and Argentines alike flock to for some tantalising rays, diving, snorkelling and more. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 12: Buzios

Today, embark on an exciting schooner tour to see 12 exquisite beaches on three islands on the north side of the peninsula. (Meals: breakfast).

Day 13: Buzios

Enjoy a day relaxing. You could discover the different beaches, get busy with some watersports, such as paddle boarding, and try out the exquisite, local cuisine. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 14: Buzios

Transfer to the airport and fly back to the UK. (Meals: breakfast)
