Optional Excursions

Optional excursions are available to make your trip even more spectacular. All excursions can be booked and paid for during the booking process. Please note that these excursions can take place in a group, and more than one excursion is bookable per day. You will receive all practical information before departure.

• Sunrise trek to Mount Batur (day 3, 4 or 11 - 7 hours) • Starting at 02:30 in the morning, set out to conquer Mount Batur, an active volcano at 1,717 metres above sea level and considered sacred in Hinduism. You will arrive at the top at around 06:00 - just in time to witness a spectacular sunrise. Don't forget to bring good hiking shoes, a packed lunch (to order the day before with your hotel), as well as cash for a well-deserved hot drink at sunrise!

• Bike Tour (Day 2, 3, 4 or 11 - 4 hours) • Discover authentic Bali: this excursion will allow you to explore the island by bike, accompanied by an experienced English speaking guide. You will ride through local villages, attend a ceremony in a temple and admire the work of the local wood carvers. You will also have the opportunity to meet Balinese families before enjoying a typical lunch in the heart of a green setting.

• Rafting on the Ayung River (day 2, 3, 10, 11; 5 hours) • An unforgettable experience awaits you on the water. Make your way through rocky paths, jungle landscapes, rice fields and fantastic waterfalls. You will be provided with all necessary equipment including helmets and life jackets and will be briefed before taking to the water with an experienced guide. Departure: 9:00 AM Duration: about 5 hours (2 hours on the water) Including guide, transfer and lunch

• Snorkelling at Menjangan (day 5; 3 hours) • Head out to see by boat, where you will discover the coral reefs and their inhabitants with snorkelling equipment. As the beach is only 5 mins away by boat, the duration of the excursion is flexible. Departure: 8:00 am Including guide

Payment

If you book this deal before 35 days of your departure, you can choose to pay in parts. The deposit will be 50% of the deal’s price plus the booking fee and travel and/or cancellation insurance (when applicable). Passport, visa and health requirements	The passport, visa and health requirements (including those related to COVID-19) at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website. Single supplement	The single supplement is based on travel dates and duration of travel. You will see the final price in the booking process.
Children's discount	A discount for children is offered dependent on the chosen travel dates and length of stay. You will see the applicable discount in the final booking process. Children's discount is not applicable for children aged 10 years and older. Please note: children up to 12 months old receive a discount on the plane ticket, but will not receive a seat or baggage allowance.
Third-person discount	The third-person discount is based on the departure date and duration of the trip. You will see the final price in the booking process.
Infant bed	Unfortunately, cots are not available in all hotels throughout this trip. Contact customer service to make an enquiry.

Nyepi	Please note that Nyepi, the commemoration of the Balinese Saka Calendar, falls on 11 March 2024. Those travelling in Bali at this time must follow the local customs, which include a restriction on physical work, movement or travel, and entertainment. All transport - including flights - are halted at this time. For further information about Nyepi, please use this link. The silence begins sunrise around 6:00 am of 11 March 2024 and will go on until the next 24 hours All shops are closed on Silent Day Guests must stay inside the hotel area When listening to the music or watching TV in the room, guests must keep the sound at a minimum level There will be no traffic on that day in the whole Bali island Ngurah Rai airport will be totally closed on 11 March 2024, so there will be neither arrivals nor departures in the airport on that day. Across Bali, the only activities permitted are in emergency rooms and maternity section of hospitals and the arrival section of airport. Any emergencies are taken into consideration. The whole island is in silence.
