Day 1: UK - Night on board

Arrive at your UK departure airport ready to board your flight to Buenos Aires. Night on board.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

Arrive in Buenos Aires and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this romantic, vibrant capital city.

Day 3: Buenos Aires

Take a guided tour of the city, visiting its most emblematic sites and monuments, like the Plaza de Mayo, La Boca, the Obelisk and the Casa Rosada - where Madonna performed the hit song Don't Cry For Me Argentina in her portrayal of Evita. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Buenos Aires

Spend the day at leisure, seeing some more of the city and savouring the steak and fresh pasta. In the evening, there's an optional Argentinian tango show with dinner (£64 per person). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5: Buenos Aires - El Calafate

Fly to El Calafate in Patagonia and transfer to your hotel to check in. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: El Calafate

Depart for the Glacier National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that covers more than a whopping 600,000 hectares. From Puerto Bajo Las Sombras, you’ll sail on Lake Rico to admire the famous Perito Moreno Glacier. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: El Calafate

Today you'll spend the day as you please in El Calafate, admiring the area's silencing natural beauty, complete with glaciers, lakes and mountains. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 8: El Calafate - Iguazú


Transfer to the airport for your flight to humid Iguazú. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 9: Iguazú

Visit the Argentine side of Iguazú Falls by taking the train to 'Devil's Throat'. You'll be stunned by the panoramic jungle views and the thunderous roar of the water. You can take an optional 'Iguazú Great Adventure' excursion (£60 per person). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 10: Iguazú


It's now time to compare yesterday's experience with the Brazilian side of Iguazú Falls - one of the world's Seven Natural Wonders. Walk on the well-placed viewing trails and enjoy spectacular views. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 11: Iguazú - Rio de Janeiro

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 12: Rio de Janeiro


Take a city tour of magnetic Rio, including Christ the Redeemer and the famous Corcovado Mountain - one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Descend to enjoy a visit to Maracanã football stadium and a visit to the Sambódromo, where the annual and astonishing Rio Carnival takes place. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 13: Rio de Janeiro


Take some time at leisure in Rio de Janeiro, with the chance to go on an optional excursion to Sugar Loaf Mountain (£54 per person). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 14: Rio de Janeiro - UK


Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight home, back to the UK. (Meals: breakfast)

In short, you pay Secret Escapes a non-refundable deposit to secure your holiday, then you pay the holiday supplier the remaining balance of the holiday - as advertised - at a later date (before you travel).
