The Pheasant Inn
Lake District, Cumbria
Breakfast and one dinner at a 17th century former coaching inn on Bassenthwaite Lake
There's quaint - and there's The Pheasant Inn quaint. Tucked away at the bottom of Sale Fell, metres from the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, this 300-year-old former coaching inn is positively spilling over with old-world charm.
Set in its own well-tended English rose gardens, through which weaves a pretty garden path, The Pheasant Inn is a cosy muddle of exposed beams, low ceilings, crackling log fires and original oak furnishings. As well as its delightfully traditional guest rooms (which are by no means short of modern comforts), the inn boasts an eccentric, antiquated bar serving fine ales and two country restaurants serving locally-sourced menus of upmarket and comforting dishes.
The rooms are located just a 10-minute drive from scenic Keswick and Cockermouth. For a relaxing venture, our members can enjoy complimentary access to a luxury off-site spa located in an historic country hotel nearby.
We're offering a Standard Double or Classic Double room, with a fixed two-night stay. You'll have a daily breakfast and a two-course dinner in The Bistro on the first night of your stay. If you choose to treat yourself to dinner in either of the The Pheasant's restaurants on the second night and we'll take 10% off the food bill. Bookings arriving on a Friday or Saturday night also include a complimentary bottle of champagne in your room on arrival.
