An imposing Victorian country house hotel on the edge of Snowdonia National Park
Pale Hall traces its history back to the mid 19th century when it was constructed by Scottish gentleman Henry Robertson. With past guests including Queen Victoria, it's a truly grand and fabulous setting amidst sixteen acres of private, landscaped gardens. It's located just outside the small market town of Bala on the edge of Snowdonia and has been awarded the Visit Wales Gold Award, placing it in the top two percent of hotels in the country.
Pale Hall has been lovingly and intricately restored to all its former glory and boasts a vast vaulted hallway with rich oriental rugs and period furnishings as well as a number of lounges with ceiling frescoes, antiques and original oil paintings. Once run as a shooting estate by the Duke of Westminster, Pale Hall is still a great spot for a range of outdoor pursuits, including fishing, horse riding and shooting.
